This dynamic workshop, led by AISCA staff, Board Members, and seasoned educators, will provide an invaluable orientation to the Teaching Quality Standard (TQS). You’ll gain practical tips and tricks for successful evaluations and engage with experienced school leaders and Designated Signing Authorities (DSAs — teacher evaluators). They’ll share their insights on common challenges and pitfalls faced by new teachers, helping you navigate your early career with confidence.

Get ready for an interactive experience! This workshop emphasizes sharing opportunities between new teachers and facilitators. Bring your stories, ask questions, and learn from the collective wisdom in the room.

Thanks to AISCA’s Designated Signing Authority (DSA) Program, there’s no cost to you! We’ll cover the workshop fee and provide lunch. If you’re traveling from outside the Edmonton or Calgary area (over 50 km one way), we’ll even help with transportation costs (65 cents/km, up to a maximum of $300). We encourage carpooling to make the most of this benefit.

In addition, AISCA will reimburse your school for substitute teacher expenses once they submit an invoice after the event.
